After twenty five years compiling diplomatic documentation, Reg Little first wrote for publication as a co-author with Warren Reed, a past officer of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service.  Together they wrote and published The Confucian Renaissance (1989) and The Tyranny of Fortune: Australia’s Asian Destiny (1997).  

The Confucian Renaissance has been published twice in Japanese (most recently 2000) and three times in Chinese (most recently 2001).

In addition, Reg Little has regularly attended and delivered papers to conferences in China and other parts of Asia on matters related to Confucian studies — or more broadly cultural tradition and economic development — since 1987.  He has been a Founding Director of the International Confucian Association since 1994.
