LL 2011 Dec - Leading with Knowledge, a concept workshop on top-down strategies, by Rudolf Muller

In the first session a well travelled KM advocate expressed his learnings and conclusions via videolink. After the session break Rudolf Muller orchestrated a high-level strategic workshop - as abbreviated as it was - to instill some understanding why it is important to avoid Zachman and Lockes often quoted sin of getting it wrong from the design by progressing sideways in and fork. In onsuing conversations and reflections participants gained a good understanding of the need to orchestrate KM from the top down.

LL 2011 May - Communicate with Influence, presented by Sarah Iqbal

Communication is great - once it works as intended. Communicating with Influence is something entirely different. The May Leadership Lounge worked with an engaging presenter through this highly effective form of communication, especially how to put such theory into practice. A very successful Lounge indeed.

Achieving more with less alwas prompted me to reply that the consequence would be that one should achieve everthing with nothing. Well, until I attended this Leadership Lounge with Dr. Ian Dover. Ian his trick is to see organisational processes as systemic entities in their own right, and then make a deliberate attempt to simplify them. An inspiring workshop that prompted many email responses.

Bob Thomas is a fully qualified project manager, known for 'pinpoint accuracy' in his field. His broad inclusiveness makes him an excellent champion for the delivery of quality products. He has also very practical views on the operationalisation of a project, a determining factor of the overall quality. This forum is not a lecture on the merits of project management. Rather it seeks to explore its boundaries. That is to say, Bob will explore with the audience those areas in which too much project management kills off projects because they become too expensive/difficult/unpredictable. In other words: How much project management is too much?

The forums explored how the human brain responds to change, especially those changes that are not 'in tune' with it's natural processes. Judy Williams worked with the participants through some 'automatic responses' and how these may be used to enhance participant's skills.
LL 2010 April Leading Culture Change, by Bill Cropper

In this forum Bill Cropper argues that Culture and Leadership are two sides of the same coin. This conversational-circle style session did elicit lively exchange of views, ideas and experiences of culture change efforts. It looked at the deeper patterns that make up culture, what leaders can do to change or revitalise it, what gets in the way and what we can learn from each other about this crucial change arena. Peruse Bill's web site at http://thechangeforum.com/ for an extract of the session.
